Born in 1968 in Helsingborg, Sweden. Lives and works in Falkenberg (Sweden) and Berlin (Germany). Henrik Håkansson is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the fragile boundaries between nature and culture. Known for installations that integrate natural elements, he has developed a conceptual and sensorial language that reflects on cycles, ecosystems, and human perception.
About his work:
Henrik Håkansson creates immersive environments where nature becomes both subject and material. Plants, animals, and ecological phenomena are displaced into cultural contexts, forming surreal installations that question the relationship between man and nature. Through film, photography, text and sound, his work activates a performative space centered on observation and transformation, where natural processes unfold in real time or are subtly altered.
