Where Domestic Intimacy Meets Curated Design

Casa Museo Molinario & Colombari, housed within a former 19th-century silversmith’s atelier in Milan’s vibrant Isola district, stands as a sanctuary where architecture, memory, and design merge into a singular living experience. Conceived by Ettore Molinario and Andrea Colombari, this refined residence‑museum blurs the boundaries between public exhibition and private life, offering an intimate immersion into the soul of Italian design culture.

At the threshold, a lush courtyard—punctuated by oxidized metal structures and floating islands of greenery—acts as a poetic pause between the bustle of the city and the stillness within. Designed as a space for dialogue and transition, it embodies the home’s philosophy: a place where life and storytelling unfold organically.

Inside, the collection reflects the duo’s lifelong passion for art, photography, and craftsmanship. Iconic Italian design pieces from the 20th century converse with contemporary artworks, anonymous objects, and emotional fragments of everyday life. Each room is a scene, each item a character, creating a fluid narrative between time, form, and affect.

Casa Museo Molinario & Colombari is more than a home or a museum—it is a living archive of Milanese elegance and creative intimacy, where domesticity becomes a stage for beauty, memory, and the quiet force of personal expression.
